With two runners on in the top of the 6th inning, Lauren Good broke the game open for the Jags with a two RBI triple to put South up 2-0. The Jags wouldn’t look back in an eventual 6-0 Big 6 Conference win over Lee’s Summit West on Monday at West.
Good led the Jags offensively with a hit and four RBI. Bailey Brumley would add a 2-for-3 night with two runs scored and two singles of her own.
Eight of the nine Jag starters, for a second game in a row, had a hit to keep the Jags’ offense consistent.
The Jags had baserunners early, but they just couldn’t put a run across until the sixth with Good’s one out triple.
Kierra Goos notched her third win of the season giving up only three hits, three walks, and struck out three.
South moves to 6-0 on the young season, and 1-0 in Big 6 Conference play.
The Jags will take on Blue Springs on Tuesday at home at 4 pm.
