The Blue Springs South Boys cross country team just missed taking a team to state with a heartbreaking 5th place finish. Junior Jackson Lile finished in 36th place with a time of 17:23.50, Senior Zach Carter finished in 38th place with a time of 17:25.40, Senior Evan Hoiland finished in 57th place with a time of 18:00.50, and sophomore Ryan Ringgenberg finished in 64th place with a time of 18:10.60.
Our ultimate goal was to get a team to state. We are very proud of this team and what they were able to accomplish this season. Our boys ran hundreds of miles throughout the summer and hundreds more during the season. All our Jag runners have helped create an amazing team culture that we can build upon for the future. We are excited for Dillon, Jack, and Alex and they will have much support as they compete at the new State Course hosted for the first time in Columbia. This was a very special team and we are sorely going to miss our seniors, they are all outstanding young men that are going to do some great things once they leave Blue Springs South.
