The Jaguars and Wildcats may have been against each other in the Dig for the Cure Volleyball game last month, but the two rivals banded together for a cause greater than themselves. A partnership between the teams with donations from the annual game were donated yesterday, presenting a $9601.65 check to the Jake Cavanaugh Foundation. Jake’s Foundation has been able to give over $144,100 to local families whose children are battling cancer and $60,000 to Children’s Mercy Hospitals, and we are excited that the Blue Springs School District now has a part in helping this amazing cause.
In collaboration with @BSSJagsVball, today we presented the Jake Cavanaugh Foundation with the proceeds from our Dig For the Cure match—a check for $9,601.65. Thank you so much to BSHS & BSS booster clubs for the work, dedication, & love they put into this event each year. pic.twitter.com/oiTs6pJpn8
